Through the use of the quantum pocket watch, we show the world of Molecules, Atoms and subatomic particles. We have chosen to use an object i.e. the pocket watch as a way for us to venture into a world of the small where you can go from molecular to subatomic. We venture into the molecular structure of water and to the proton and electron of the hydrogen atom and finally arrive at the three quarks present inside the hydrogen neutron.
Context
An object being anything and everything is made out of Molecules and a Molecule future divided into an Atom and an Atom is made out of Subatomic Particles. Subatomic particles are particles much smaller than atoms. In this project, we travel through four different worlds being - the world of reality, The molecular world, the Atomic world and The Quantum Realm through a quantum watch and the quantum transporter making it a little interactive and giving it a better understanding about the subject we are going to travel with the help of a roller coaster which is going to take us around these worlds.
As we travel inside every part of this film, we will have to cross a checkpoint where you will be given a golden ticket to travel further. At 6:15 the quantum pocket watch starts to act strange, the world darkens and from the pocket watch emerges particles and before we know it we are transported in a tunnel. After exiting the tunnel our journey through the molecular, atomic and subatomic world begins. We have chosen to explain this journey by using a simple water molecule (H20). It is extremely simple and easy to understand the workings of a water molecule as it has a very simple structure to support it. We start our journey through the water molecule, and then we describe the atomic structure of Hydrogen and then finally journey into the world of Up and Down quarks.
